Worldwide Medical Experts Converge on Rochester

By Kelley Luckstein

Congressman Tim Walz may have spoke about health care insurance yesterday, but today the Mayo Clinic is focusing on the other side -- patient care.

Doctors and other medical specialists from around the world are gathering in Rochester through Tuesday to exchange ideas on how to improve patient health care.

Doctor Jaspal Sandhu is one of 450 medical experts in Rochester to discuss ways to improve the quality of health care. "I'm really here just to learn um primarily to learn and maybe throw out a few new ideas and see what people think,” said Dr. Sandhu.

"What we'd really like is for people never to think about health care,” said Mayo Doctor David Rosenman, who is in charge of the Collaborative Symposium.
