As hockey players hit the ice this season, you can expect there will be some injuries.
"A lot of bumps and bruises," says Ice Hawks Captain Justin Phelps, who injured his collarbone and sternum during training camp.
"They decided to do the surgery and they said about 3-6 months, so that's pretty much the whole season," says Phelps…
"I would say that injuries are increasing. I think as kids become more and more competitive and injuries were always known to increase with age," Aynsley Smith from Mayo Clinic’s Sports Medicine Clinic.
