The leader of the $1 billion Elk Run biotechnology project north of Rochester in Pine Island says his company is "deep in discussions" about several Mayo Clinic discoveries that could become start-up companies at Elk Run.
"We're working actively with Mayo on a couple of very interesting transactions," said G. Steven Burrill, CEO of Burrill and Co., a San Francisco-based venture capitalist firm leading the Elk Run bioscience park effort near Pine Island.
