Although the 56th annual Eagles Cancer Telethon had to duel with the Vikings for viewers Sunday, people turned out in droves to watch the event at Mayo Civic Center, and an estimated $745,000 was raised…
Proceeds from the event help fund cancer research at Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota and the Hormel Institute. This year, the Rochester Eagles Club expects to give out about $700,000, Callier said.
