Mayo Clinic-IBM research team says it has developed a faster, more-accurate way to detect brain aneurysms as small as 3 or 4 millimeters wide.
It represents an encouraging sign for the 2-year-old Mayo-IBM partnership, as well as a step forward for patients. It's the first time "where we have something coming out of the other end of the (discovery) pipeline," said Dr. Bradley Erickson, co-director of the Medical Imaging Informatics Innovation Center at Mayo in Rochester.
