Mayo Clinic officials announced Monday afternoon that the clinic plans to donate $500,000 to help with earthquake relief in Haiti, but officials are still deciding which agencies will receive the funds.
Dr. Michael Harper, the clinic's executive dean of practice, said those decisions are still being considered, including how many agencies would be in line to obtain the aid…
"I think Mayo certainly has a humanitarian mission, and if this isn't a humanitarian mission that needs attention by all organizations, there isn't one," Harper said.
