There's more to men's health than a prostate check.
And you may even find that some of these steps to a healthy spring can be accomplished in ways - such as feasting on fiber-rich shrimp-topped pizza - that you'll be eager to try.
Get an executive physical
A comprehensive physical exam cuts down on insurance claims and short-term-disability days, a 2002 study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine found. That makes the physical a good investment for an executive and his employer.
The Executive Health Program at Mayo Clinic offers such services as a thorough exam with medical history, cardiovascular-fitness evaluation, preventive screenings (for prostate cancer, colon cancer, hearing, etc.), update of medicines and immunizations, lifestyle assessment (nutrition, stress management, alcohol and tobacco use, etc.) and same-day test results. One physician will coordinate your care. An executive physical for men starts at about $2,300.
