Two years after complaining that legislators did not give them enough public money to expand, the Mall of America is back at the State Capitol with a muted vision and a measured plea for help. Instead of talking about one, big 5.6 million-square-foot expansion, the mall is talking about much smaller steps…
A month ago, MOA officials presented drawings to Bloomington city officials that showed a 550,000-square-foot water park, a 250,000-square-foot Mayo Clinic facility, a large Bass Pro Shop store and a 345,000-square-foot hotel…the Mayo Clinic facility would begin concept design in July.
