Mayo Clinic to make its pitch at Twins games

Mayo Clinic staff members will be at Target Field for every Minnesota Twins home game this season, under a partnershipmn-twins announced Thursday morning.

The deal represents another move for Mayo toward a presence and expansion in the Twin Cities, either through referral or an as-yet-unannounced facility.

"By teaming up with the Twins, we share ways for fans to improve their own health and remind fans throughout the region that Mayo Clinic is close to home, so that if you or a family member is faced with a serious health condition, we can help you find the answers you need," Mayo's national CEO Dr. John Noseworthy said in a statement.

Twins, Mayo Clinic partner to offer ballpark health screenings, promotions

Mayo Clinic and the Minnesota Twins announced Thursday they intend to work together to help "improve the health of people across Twins Territory."

The Twins-Mayo relationship will begin April 2 and 3, when the Mayo Clinic presents an exhibition series as the Twins play their first games at Target Field against the National League’s St. Louis Cardinals. The two organizations plan to provide on-site health screenings and educational events before Twins home games, pre-game interviews with Mayo Clinic physicians on health topics and other collaborative efforts throughout the 2010 season.
