Here's a quick quiz: True or false, osteoporosis is something only women have to worry about?
The answer is false.
While it's true that bone fractures due to osteoporosis are much more common in women, Mayo Clinic Dr. Shreyasee Amin says men also get brittle bones.
"Approximately 13 percent of men over the age of 50 will suffer a fracture over their lifetime," Amin says. "That's one in eight men."
