Mayo Clinic takes on a ... "second life"

Mayo Clinic has a new home world in the Avatar-laden place called "Second Life." Here's a YouTube video file from the site so you  can check it out. And below is a still photo I snapped of an image of my computer screen…

 

But it's an interesting foray for Mayo into the virtual world, offering information about cancer and allowing anonymous people to literally sit in the room — as avatars. "Mayo Clinic has an island complete with a virtual conference center in Second Life," Mayo's social media expert Lee Aase writes.
