Mayo Clinic has announced that it will soon offer a new type of imaging for patients worried about the possibility of breast cancer.
"Mayo Clinic researchers have developed a new tool that can solve this dilemma. Molecular breast imaging (MBI) is three times more effective than mammograms, but far less costly than other nuclear-medicine imaging. Available to patients soon, MBI has the potential to revolutionize breast imaging," says Discovery's Edge, a Mayo online research magazine.
