Courageous. Honest. Forthright. Those were the words which came to mind recently when I watched Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt tell the world that she has been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. It had to have come as a shock when doctors at the Mayo Clinic gave her the diagnosis. Yet, instead of trying to hide it, she went before television cameras in a very composed way to give basketball fans the news.
