10 years after he went into a wheelchair, GV man still winning medals

Theron Hallock hasn’t walked in 10 years but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a national-level athlete. In fact, it’s the reason he has succeeded. Hallock, who turns 84 soon, recently returned from the 31st Annual National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Pittsburgh, where he took a bronze medal for the power chair relay race…After numerous visits toTucson doctors, he sought another opinion with a specialist at the Mayo Clinic. He was eventually diagnosed with an Arterio-Venous Malformation and it was believed he had a tumor on his spinal cord.
