As executive director of the Joliet Junior College Foundation, Kristin Mulvey is used to wining and dining potential donors. But for John H. Weitendorf Sr. of Joliet it was all about the oatmeal cookies, Mulvey recalled Wednesday. Weitendorf died Saturday at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center at the age of 89… Weitendorf was involved in creating the Mary L. Weitendorf Family Center at Morning Star Mission. The center is named after his wife, who died in 2004. And he was a benefactor of the Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Unit in Jacksonville, Fla.
