2 groups get $8M to study Parkinson's disease

Two Phoenix-area groups have secured an $8 million federal grant to study Parkinson's disease. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke awarded the five-year grant to the Banner Sun Health Research Institute and Mayo Clinic to support research of the brain disorder that leads to shaking and to difficulty moving.. Dr. Charles Adler, of the Mayo Clinic, will oversee the clinical part of the study.
