A Mayo Clinic doctor, with deep ties to the area, accepted the Wall of Honor plaque Friday evening for 1892 Spring Valley High School graduate Dr. Henry Plummer, the newest inductee into the Kingsland Wall of Honor. Dr. Molly J. Ness, a pediatric resident at Mayo Clinic, who grew up on a farm north of Spring Valley, accepted the plaque on behalf of Mayo Clinic and the Plummer family. She said she was present to accept the award because of the significance of Plummer to the Mayo Clinic.
