Especially since her kind of cancer — HER2-positive, which accounts for about 20 percent of breast cancers — grows and spreads the fastest…In HER2-positive breast cancer, the cells have too many HER2 genes, and the excess protein is thought to make cancer cells grow and divide more quickly, according to the Mayo Clinic.
