The American Cancer Society estimates that this year in the United States over 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. That is why local survivors believe raising awareness about the disease is so important year after year. Toni Mangskou has worked in the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center for years. She was shocked when she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer. "You're so numb, you're like I can't be the patient, I'm a staff person this isn't happening to me," said Mangskou.
