Face your fears: It’s best way to overcome them

With Halloween comes trick-or-treating, costumes, and the celebrating of all things scary, including ghosts, goblins and even big, hairy spiders. But was about fear of public speaking, dogs and heights?... One way to fight fear, according to Mayo Clinic licensed child psychologist Stephen Whiteside, Ph.D.. is to plan ahead. Public speaking is a No. 1 fear among many people, so practice upcoming speeches, for example, until they flow naturally.
