It's research experts say creates nearly 500,000 jobs world wide. A large portion of those jobs are in the field of cancer research. On Tuesday at Mayo Clinic, medical officials and local politicians met to discuss the importance of those jobs… "What we're trying to do is refocus the viruses so that they specifically destroy cancer tissue and don't cause any harm to any other tissue in the body," Mayo's Dean of of Discovery and Experimental Medicine Stephen Russel said.
