Organization estimates 1 in 10 could have diabetes within a few decades

Here's a shocking statistic: in just a few decades the number of people living with diabetes worldwide will top 520 million. Right now that number hovers around 360 million.  By 2030, an international organization is estimating one in ten adults will have diabetes…"There are a number of theories as to why that's going on, some of it's the increased weight and obesity in the U.S.A. but we don't know exactly for sure," says Dr. Walter Downey, Mayo Clinic Health System Osseo Clinic.
