For most of us, Thanksgiving the holiday is past, the turkey gone or dwelling in leftover land as soup or sandwich meat, the relatives scattered to their everyday lives. In the Jim and Cindy Walsh household, however, thanksgiving is now a continuing way of life, a daily celebration that dates from a Saturday afternoon in early October when Jim emerged from the fog of an eight-hour surgery at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, a surgery that involved removal of a brain tumor nearly as big as a baseball.
