Mayo Clinic will sign a contractual agreement with the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, to undertake research, exchange staff and broaden the relationship between the two institutions. "Far beyond a simple academic agreement, this is an historic framework by which we will transform medicine, and for us at Mayo Clinic, extend our humanitarian mission to the world," said Mayo research dean Dr. Robert Rizza in a news release.
