James Salvati didn't know a fundraiser was held this weekend in Ahwatukee to benefit his daughter, 11-month-old Emma, until he received a Skype call from his sister on Sunday…Miller was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at 35 and survived two heart attacks. In 2005, he had open-heart surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and came home with a $350,000 bill. Miller had insurance so he was responsible for about $35,000 of that, but "I didn't have that either," he said. The Mayo Clinic Foundation helped Miller with his medical bills and asked him to pass that generosity on, he said.
