Childhood obesity is a growing concern in our country. While there are efforts to get kids moving at school, is enough being done in child care centers? A new study says no. The study in this week's Pediatrics Journal found that a lot of child care centers across the country spent more time on classroom learning, in turn, cutting down on outdoor play time…If they're going to watch a half an hour TV show, make sure they're out playing or playing inside and being active inside for that same amount of time," said Dr. Stephanie Maves, Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System.
