Council OKs Mayo Clinic 5-year development plan

By

A five-year development plan for Mayo Clinic's downtown, Saint Marys and northwest Rochester campuses won unanimous approval Wednesday from the Rochester City Council…The plan summarizes the state of Mayo's presence in Rochester, with employee totals, parking capacities, building sizes and other statistics. And it includes a listing of potential building projects to come during the next five years or longer — usually many more projects than actually happen in the five-year time frame. The report has given the city advance notice of such developments as the Gonda Building, the Jacobson proton beam therapy building, and the new northwest campus on West Circle Drive.
