By

If you are having a heart attack and come to the Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato it takes and average of about 55 minutes from when you get in the hospital to when doctors perform angioplasty or other coronary intervention, that's around 10 minutes faster than the national average. Dr. John Haley, Cardiologist at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, says, "Time is of the essence in opening up the artery that is causing the heart attack so as to prevent further damage to the heart."
