Nutrition labels being put on raw meat

There are some big changes in grocery stores nationwide. Consumers will actually have more of a say on what protein goes on the dinner table due to new labeling regulations. The Department of Agriculture now requires nutrition labels on 40 of the most popular cuts of meat like steaks, roasts or chicken breasts, as well ground beef and poultry… “In general I think consumers have become more sophisticated as far as their approach to nutrition and one of their primary sources of info is the nutritional information,” says registered dietician at Mayo Clinic Health System Tom Tio.
