Steve Hooker is the Olympic pole-vaulting champion. The 29-year-old Australian has jumped the second highest mark in the history of the sport but you may not see him at this summer’s London Olympics. Last month he pulled out of his country’s Olympic trials, not because he is struggling with injury. Instead he is fighting a battle with his mind.
