Mayo Clinic's Healthy Aging and Independent Living Lab has added Minnesota's own General Mills to its list of supporters, the clinic announced Thursday. HAIL, established in September 2011, is a "living lab" in Charter House, a retirement community in Rochester affiliated with Mayo Clinic. Research and experiments are related to "aging in place," helping older people remain at home, healthy and independent. The lab is used to design and try new services and technology with volunteers from Charter House and the surrounding community.
