A new study suggests that autism cases are rising or perhaps more cases are being discovered. The study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals autism spectrum affects 1 in 88 children and teens in the United States rather than 1 in 110 as reported five years ago… “I think that we as physicians are doing a better job screening for it. There are now guidelines for tools to be used, like for 18 months and 2-years-of age to screen specially for autism,” says Dr. Gregg Kishaba, a pediatrician with Mayo Clinic Health System.
