Health providers who work at Mayo Clinic want to raise awareness about horrific rapes being used as a weapon of war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Teams of Mayo health providers have begun visiting the country to help local surgeons repair violent injuries received by girls and women ages 5 to 80. "It's something you and I would never, ever imagine," said Lois McGuire, a certified nurse practitioner employed by Mayo.
