A 13-year-old girl's death after surgery at Saint Marys Hospital in 2009 is at issue in a wrongful death trial that started Monday in Olmsted County District Court. Danielle Androli, of Janesville, alleges that Mayo Clinic was negligent in the care and treatment of her daughter, Larissa, after surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. While attorney Brandon Thompson said Mayo missed multiple opportunities to prevent Larissa’s death, Mayo attorney Bill Stoeri said the allegations are a case of 20/20 hindsight.
