World renowned clinical cancer researcher Dr. Edith Perez, Deputy Director At Large at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, is in Lynchburg today to introduce health care professionals to the latest advances in breast cancer treatments. It is a rare small-town appearance for a woman who has authored hundreds of cancer-related articles, received more than 30 research grant awards and traveled the world to speak. Perez will introduce her audience to the state-of-the art advancements in the field of cancer treatments.
