Mayo Clinic was not negligent in its care and treatment of a 13-year-old girl who died in 2009 after having a benign brain tumor removed, an Olmsted County District Court jury found on Tuesday. The verdict was reached after a week-long wrongful death trial focused on allegations that Mayo missed opportunities to prevent the death of Larissa Androli, who complained of severe head pain three days after surgery…Mayo attorney Bill Stoeri said the claims were a case of 20/20 hindsight, adding that Larissa Androli's condition deteriorated rapidly and Mayo had checked her condition closely.
