Fed Judge Renders Decision on Lawsuit vs. Mayo Clinic

By

A negligence lawsuit filed by a former patient against Mayo Clinic has been dismissed in U.S. District Court. The lawsuit, which was filed in March, alleged that Robert James of Montgomery, Texas, suffered a perforation to his small intestine during a March 14, 2008, surgery at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester…"We are pleased with the voluntary dismissal of the lawsuit by the plaintiff," said Mayo spokesman Bryan Anderson. "It reinforces our belief that the case was without merit."
