Taren Talmage was a senior at Arizona State University when she decided to do something of "world importance" last February. Spring break 2011 was coming up, and she wanted to do something before she graduated with a degree in public relations…In September, Talmage met a nurse who had donated her kidney to a patient of hers, which was handled by the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. The next day, Talmage called Mayo and started the donor process all over. Talmage met with the team, went through a series of tests, including psychological exams, and prepared to raise her hopes again.
