Early Study Looks Promising for MS-Like Illness

Mayo Clinic researchers say they were surprised by the success of an early study of a drug to treat a disease often misdiagnosed as multiple sclerosis. "It is very impressive, the results so far,'" said Dr. Sean Pittock, co-director of the clinic's neuroimmunology laboratory. But he cautions the study is preliminary and needs confirmation, bigger numbers and a comparison group.
