Wayne Anderson uses the famous Mayo Clinic in Minnesota as an example of an effective, comparative system. The Mayo Clinic is world renowned for treating many medical conditions, (such as heart failure, where they are rated at five stars by healthgrades.com). This hospital is only awarded a single star, however, for hip replacement surgery - Mr. Anderson's requirement. There are better examples of efficient U.S. health care delivery.
