Image Sharing Seeks to Reduce Repeat Scans

Logistics are time-consuming when patients want to share an image with two or more doctors or track down older images so a new doctor can compare them with current results...The Radiological Society of North America, under contract with the National Institute of  Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, is overseeing the Image Share project, with pilot sites including Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, the University of California, San Francisco, and the mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
