Hands-Only CPR; What to Know

By

The American Heart Association has been pushing a campaign for hands only CPR.  Hands only, meaning push hard and fast on a person's chest if they have gone into a cardiac arrest. But does it really work? If so, when should it be used?... "Hands only or compression only CPR is just as effective as doing compressions with ventilation's," said Dr. Roger White of Mayo Clinic.  Dr. White published a compression-only method back in 2008 with a science advisory group, and says it still is an effective method if you keep in mind the 'ifs.'
