Bob and Marilyn Bahr started forgetting birthdays and friends’ names about a year ago. So the West Salem couple had their memory screened by Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. The health care provider was one of hundreds of organizations nationwide hosting screenings Tuesday on National Memory Screening Day…The tests are not used to diagnose an illness, said Terry Fleming, dementia care coordinator at Mayo Clinic, but as a conversation starter between the patient and doctor.
