Despite regulations that limit their work hours, one-third of U.S. medical residents who responded to a national survey were dissatisfied with their work-life balance. And quality of life was rated "somewhat bad" or "as bad as it can be" by 14.8% (99% CI 14.1 to 15.6) of the 16,394 respondents, according to Colin P. West, MD, PhD, of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and colleagues.
