This week is the last lap before HiMSS12 – or the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s Annual Conference & Exhibition in Las Vegas. I missed last year (Orlando), but I was in Atlanta for 2010 – and I’ve been to a few of these through the years.…One of the first institutions to actively embrace, foster and promote the use of twitter – along with a host of other social media tools was the Mayo Clinic. They’ve extended their thought leadership in this area with a significant commitment – including the Mayo Clinic Center For Social Media.  Lee Aase (@LeeAase) is the full time Director by day – and at night the Chancellor of the Social Media University Global.  The University (in spirit if not accreditation) offers several online tutorials on social media including one for twitter.
