Greetings! We are glad to roll out our new and improved Mayo Clinic News and Health Care Environment blog. With the new enhancements, it will be easier to post, organize and retrieve media clips. The new blog will include clips from Florida and Arizona, too, so we are working with our Public Affairs colleagues at those locations so they can post their local and regional clips to the blog. We will also be adding some industry news and competitive intelligence with the help of Maureen O'Brien Pott. In the near future, we will be able to embed video and audio into our news clip blog posts, too. Here is a link to the new blog. If you have the news clip blog bookmarked, please replace the older URL with this one: http://idealab.mayo.edu/newsclips/.
While an email message will be distributed daily with a link to the blog, you can easily subscribe to the RSS news feed so that you will receive alerts about new posts. You can subscribe to RSS news feed by linking here: http://idealab.mayo.edu/newsclips/feed/. If you are unfamiliar with RSS feeds, check out the course at SMUG University: http://social-media-university-global.org/2008/01/social-media-102-intro-to-rss/.
Mayo Clinic News and Health Care Environment blog is a work in progress so we would appreciate your feedback. I can be reached at oestreich.karl@mayo.edu, on Yammer @oestreich-karl or on Twitter @kwomedia.
A special thanks goes out to Brian Kilen and Monty Flinsch who helped us make these enhancements
