Mayo campus is prime spot for biobusiness

You couldn't find a better place to seek new biotechnology businesses than right in the middle of the Mayo Clinic campus in downtown Rochester. And that's exactly where the $34 million Minnesota Biobusiness Center was built in 2009, hoping to pick up promising medical companies…


Area economic developers are excited about having the space for new or growing companies, especially ones with links to Mayo Clinic. Many drugs, medical devices, diagnostic machines and software systems are created each year by Mayo Clinic physicians and researchers, providing fertile territory for startup companies.
