Report: Every $1 spent at Mayo generates $2.05 for national economy

Health care legislation changes loom in Washington, D.C., and budget cut talks dominate in St. Paul, Mayo Clinic has issued a report touting its economic impact as a reminder to lawmakers. Mayo Clinic announced Monday that it contributes $22 billion to the U.S. economy each year…

 

Dr. John Noseworthy, Mayo's national CEO, said he hopes "elected officials in Washington and in St. Paul" understand the report's implications.
