Did you get the email or tweet about the new hands-only CPR?

Friends are forwarding a link to a Mayo Clinic video (pasted below) where doctors demonstrate continuous chest compressions.

 

“This person is dead,” one says of the resuscitation dummy on which they practice. “If you do nothing, they’re dead. All you can do is help them.”

 

The video was uploaded in April 2008 to YouTube. It represents one of many topics the Mayo clinic has produced in video form for educational purposes, says Lee Aase, the clinic’s manager of syndication and social media. “We do 50 of these (videos) a year. This is one that really has just taken off.”
