Mayo Clinic enters research agreement with South Korean company

Mayo Clinic Florida in Jacksonville has entered into a collaborative agreement with a South Korean biopharmaceuticals company with the goal of developing new treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. The agreement with SK Biopharmaceuticals is based on research spearheaded by Dr. Leonard Petrucelli, a neuroscientist and chairman of the neuroscience research department at Mayo Clinic Florida.
